This Sunday’s sermon was centered on true life. How can we find the purpose of our lives? Is it through gaining the praise and adulation of our peers? Is it through achieving personal goals or raising a family? In truth, it is not. We must always seek God's pure and perfect will for our lives. He has a plan for us and it is centered on Jesus's salvation.
Every week we should remind ourselves to seek His grace be played out in our lives and focus on what is truly important. Jesus saves us through faith and not by our deeds, and so it is a journey of faith that we travel rather than an accumulation of good works. As we approach the end of the year, let us reflect on how we find our identity and seek our purpose in life.
Sister Gao Jie very bravely shared her testimony with the congregation: telling of how she came to discover her identity in Christ and witnessing God’s love play out in her life. If we truly wish to seek God’s will and realize His grace, then let us devote ourselves anew to relying on Him and seeking salvation through God’s only son - Jesus Christ.
