As the summer draws nearer and the time passes, we can reflect on how the Holy Spirit is moving in our city and our personal lives. We may discern How He is moving when we recognize His place and give the glory due to His name. Part of this process is our weekly worship. We enjoyed a blistering worship service, with a modern and heartfelt offering of praise. From the volume of singing it was clear that the churchwas full of worshippers: indeed the body of Christ has never been stronger.
We looked forward to Pastor Wu’s sermon and teaching. This Sunday’s sermon focuses on our Lord Jesus – the name above all names. Let us never forget that He is the most important and reigns supreme. There is no greater power and no authority above His. We must every day fix our eyes on Him.
As the sermon drew to a close, we were all able to reflect on how we can realize His grace and authority in our lives: as we work, rest and play. May we realize the freedom that His authority provides and revel in praise as we go about our daily lives.
